Meeting with Judith Hegenbarth

  • Option 3 (generic site) the preferred platform, but intranet might be good in short-term
  • Sport have generic site too: www.sport.bham.ac.uk
  • Speak to Glen...(?)  - Sport - and Eluned Jones  - Careers about generic sites: how, who, what?  Have these set precedent?

  • Check Lib intranet for existing materials.  What will migrate to ASG?  What are the criteria for migration?  (ASG materials should have a didactic element, learning aims and objectives, whereas lib intranet is informational)
  • Amailia (sp?) can help with student user feedback/focus groups etc.
  • Explore Libguides as fourth option for hosting ASG?
  • Paula has Libguides login & password (JH to forward)
  • Helen Barrel (Barber Inst) v. useful re: html & web design (Under Jean) - although this isn't in her job remit, so approach informally!

ASG content subgroup meeting (Alex Fenlon & Catherine Robertson)
  • Create a Canvas to gain submissions from SAs and ASC staff - invite these and above
  • Modify quiz to act as submissions details form
  • Think about grading/ranking/suitable destinations for materials submitted
  • Content group to sift and sort - collaborate and standardise!
  • Envision an individual second-round, collaborative discussion with staff to turn materials into learning objects or static materials
  • Organise materials within Canvas
  • Give student access to most staff and teacher access to content subgroup members
